Since Smart already released a SmartBro prepaid, I knew that somehow Globe will offer a plan to compete for the SmartBro prepaid. Finally, Globe has answered my prayers! Globe already has Time Based Plans for their Globe Visibility service, which means cheaper Globe Visibility rates.

Globe just released their new Time Based Globe Visibility plans last May 15. Actually, I first heard of this when Jennina called me and informed me about the news then off I go to Google and search for it.

If you’re not yet well aware of Globe Visibility, it is a mobile internet plan that allows you to go online from almost anywhere. This was first launched from years back and priced at Php2000 for 1Mbps of speed and additional one time payment of Php2000 for the set-up fee. I know, pretty expensive.

For the new Visibility Plans, you have three options to choose from :

The good thing about this new plans is you get free WIZ Wi-fi hours. Free Wi-Fi applies when accessed thru Globe WIZ hotspots which are mostly located at malls and coffeeshops just like Starbucks. Most Starbucks stores carry Globe WIZ nowadays.

The USB modem that will be used is Huawei E220. The USB modem is preconfigured with Globe’s settings so all you have to do is plug it to your computer. It is even compatible with Mac and Windows. If you’re in a 3G area, you’ll enjoy not just 3G speeds of up to 384Kbps but also HSDPA speeds of up to 1.8Mbps. Well, I just hope that our area in Quezon City will have some bearable speeds.

• One time activation fee of Php1000. For line only or with device availments.
• Availment of the line and free device is subject to a 24-month lock up period. For lines ONLY and without free device, lock-up is for 12 months.
• Mobile internet access connections available include GPRS, EDGE, 3G and HSDPA.
• Mobile internet rate in excess of the free hours is charged at Php0.50 per minute. Wiz Wi-Fi rate in excess of free hours is charged at Php2.00 per minute.
• Roaming feature is pre-activated and charged on top of the MSF.
• SIM is Voice, SMS, Value Added Services and Roaming capable. SIM Rates are as follows:
  Local Call Globe-to-Globe: P6.00/min
  Local Call Globe to Non-Globe P7.50/min
  Local Video Call Globe-to-Globe: P6.00/min
  Internation Call $0.40/min
  Internation Video Call $0.40/min

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid ID (Driver’s license or SSS ID or Passport).
• Proof of Billing (Utility bills of Credit Card Statement,etc.)
• Proof of Income (lLatest one month payslip or Employment Certificate or Credit Card statement)

Since it is a weekend, I’ve yet to decide if I’m gonna avail of this Visibility plan or not. I’ve been wanting to have a decent Internet connection at home. I guess, now is the time. I’m leaning of getting the Plan 999 or Plan 1499. I think Plan 999 is just enough but the unlimited free Wi-Fi hours of Plan 1499 is making me opt to pick that one. Let’s just see. I might even wait for some reviews of this new service.
