I am such a big fan of music and usually I tend to research on future album releases. Isn’t it exciting to know that your favorite artist/band will come up with a new album? The local music industry has been strong for the past years. Alternative and rock bands have been ruling the airwaves. I did some research and here’s a list of the upcoming album releases locally:

Yeng Constantino (Journey ) - Pinoy Dream Academy’s first product has come up with her much awaited second album, Journey. Journey consists of twelve tracks, eight of which was written by Yeng Constantino. Her first single is Ikaw Lang Talaga which she performed with Morning Glory, her band from way back. I guess it’s about time that Yeng release another album, just in time for the new season of the show that has brought her to be a star - Pinoy Dream Academy. I was able to listen to her current single, Ikaw Lang Talaga and it sounds a little of Paramore-ish. I’ve yet to listen to her new album. Kitchie Nadal (Love Letter) - Not only Yeng Constantino, will release her second album this month but also Kitchie Nadal. I’m sure a lot of fans have been missing Kitchie since her self-titled album in 2004. Her second album - Love Letter - which will be composed of 14 tracks will be out this March 2008. Firefly, Wide Awake, Grace and Armour Bearer are just some of the songs that would be included in Kitchie Nadal’s much anticipated second album. Mojofly - Mojofly released a new single, Simula early this year after a little break. I guess the release of Simula was a mark for an upcoming album. Simula has been a hit in the airwaves which led to Mojofly having mall tours. Their current single, Smile, has also making its mark on the charts now. Mojofly has announced in a radio interview that they will released a new full length album hopefully sometime this year. For now, you can buy an EP of their recent hits on their mall tours.

Menaya (The Worst News) - Second album.

Paramita - After almost three years since the release of Paramita’s debut album Tala, the band is now coming up with a new album. Ria Bautista, vocalist and drummer of Paramita, announced in their Yahoo Group that they will be having a two-day album launch on April 4 (Route 196 along Katipunan Ave.) and April 5 (Saguijo, Makati). Paramita fans should watch out for this one.
