I should have posted the updates earlier but I was waiting for the ticket prices to be revealed. So here goes.

Just what MM from MTVPhil posted in my previous entry regarding Alicia Keys As I Am concert here in the Philippines, the venue was changed from The Big Dome (Araneta Coliseum) to the SM Mall of Asia Complex. I’m not a frequent goer at SM Mall of Asia so this Complex is not familiar to me. I’m guessing it is an open field. I’m just not so sure if this is bigger than Araneta Coliseum but I think it is.

For the past days, TicketWorld had displayed info regarding the Alicia Keys ticket prices and it would be released SOON. I guess, soon is not that soon as they already released the ticket prices from their website. Ticket prices for the Alicia Keys concert at SM Mall of Asia Complex are :
Platinum : Php8000
Gold : Php4068.50
Silver : Php2729.50
Bronze: Php927.00
General Admission : Php463.50

Gossip Girl Season 2 Spoilers!

Come on, let us all admit it. We all love them and maybe they do even know how we love (and hate) each and everyone of them. Now that Gossip Girl Season One has finally ended, I know you are all thirsty for something juicy that will happen next on our favorite Upper East siders.

If we’ll rely on the season finale, look like Nate and Serena will bring back the spark they had before. Speaking of “spark”, who knows what will happen to our favorite Georgy? Will Dan be the lonely boy once again? Blair and Chuck, I wonder if they are both on the road to couplehood.

Okay, I’ll stop with the rambling. Here now the juicy details that I have found on the upcoming new season of Gossip Girl.

Gossip Girl Season Two Spoilers

Nathaniel Archibald turns into a boy toy as he begins a secret affair with a married older woman named Catherine Mason. But as the couple get together for yet another hot appointment of afternoon sex, Catherine panics at the sound of her husband’s car pulling into driveway. (THIS IS REALLY SOMETHING! :D)
The future is not looking good for Dan and Serena. (Sorry, Dan and Serena fans.)
Meanwhile, Dan (Penn Badgley) gets a little make-out action of his own as he seduces a beautiful girl at the library where he assists Sebastian Harris, a man described by the writers as a “literary lion.” But the apprenticeship comes to an abrupt end, when Dan lets Sebastian down.
Bluck or Chair or whatever you want to call them are so on. Apparently, the producers have noticed the crazy-good chemistry that lies within that naughty-by-nature duo, and there’ll be much more of them ahead.
So far, M.T. has not been asked back for season two. Michelle herself said: “[Josh Schwartz] has told everyone that everyone is coming back and that it’s going to be like a crazy, wild cast of a million people, so I’d love to, I think it’d be great fun. It’s a character I’ve just thoroughly enjoyed…and pretty sexy.”
The season premiere episode will begin shooting in New York later this month.
Gossip Girl Season 2 will air on September 1.

New Characters:
Catherine Mason- Model turned Upper East Side wife who summers in the Hamptons. She knows how to use her sexuality to manipulate every situation. Reportedly has a fling with Nate.

Marcus Beaton - Good looking British young man with a royal upbringing. Hmm, is this Blair’s royal fling from the books?

Sebastian Harris - Famous author in the spirit of Norman Mailer. Dan’s boss for the summer.

The American rapper behind the number one hit “Low” and the single “Elevator”, Flo Rida, Tremar Dillard in real life is coming to Manila this June.

Flo Rida will perform on selected SM malls on the following dates:

Where to Download Free PSP Games?

When you go into the mall, most probably you’ll see a kid with a game console in hand. Most of them walking around with their parents but their eyes are glued on their PSPs, Nintendo DS Lites, Gameboys, etc. Never mind if they bumped strangers or lose their parents in sight. Kids today! I was browsing at a forum I frequently visit when someone posted a thread asking where to download free PSP games. That question quite intrigued me so I decided to make this post to make a list of sites that offer free PSP games. This is will also serve as a reference once I’ve had my own PSP.

Most of the techie peeps I know download PSP games from torrent sites. Ninety - nine percent of those are free PSP games of course. So for those who doesn’t know anything about torrents and torrents sites, here’s a list of sites that offer free PSP games for download:

Globe Visibility now offers Time Based Plans

Since Smart already released a SmartBro prepaid, I knew that somehow Globe will offer a plan to compete for the SmartBro prepaid. Finally, Globe has answered my prayers! Globe already has Time Based Plans for their Globe Visibility service, which means cheaper Globe Visibility rates.

Globe just released their new Time Based Globe Visibility plans last May 15. Actually, I first heard of this when Jennina called me and informed me about the news then off I go to Google and search for it.

If you’re not yet well aware of Globe Visibility, it is a mobile internet plan that allows you to go online from almost anywhere. This was first launched from years back and priced at Php2000 for 1Mbps of speed and additional one time payment of Php2000 for the set-up fee. I know, pretty expensive.

For the new Visibility Plans, you have three options to choose from :

The good thing about this new plans is you get free WIZ Wi-fi hours. Free Wi-Fi applies when accessed thru Globe WIZ hotspots which are mostly located at malls and coffeeshops just like Starbucks. Most Starbucks stores carry Globe WIZ nowadays.

The USB modem that will be used is Huawei E220. The USB modem is preconfigured with Globe’s settings so all you have to do is plug it to your computer. It is even compatible with Mac and Windows. If you’re in a 3G area, you’ll enjoy not just 3G speeds of up to 384Kbps but also HSDPA speeds of up to 1.8Mbps. Well, I just hope that our area in Quezon City will have some bearable speeds.

One time activation fee of Php1000. For line only or with device availments.
Availment of the line and free device is subject to a 24-month lock up period. For lines ONLY and without free device, lock-up is for 12 months.

Since it is a weekend, I’ve yet to decide if I’m gonna avail of this Visibility plan or not. I’ve been wanting to have a decent Internet connection at home. I guess, now is the time. I’m leaning of getting the Plan 999 or Plan 1499. I think Plan 999 is just enough but the unlimited free Wi-Fi hours of Plan 1499 is making me opt to pick that one. Let’s just see. I might even wait for some reviews of this new service.

Loving Blair Waldorf/Leighton Meester

As far as I can remember, it wasn’t on Gossip Girl’s pilot episode that I started loving this girl. Maybe it’s on the second or the third. While most of my friends started liking Serena, I on the other hand is loving Blair. Blair has this strong personality that can easily scare you away but deep inside you know that she’s one sweet and caring girl always ready to rescue a needing friend. How I wish I have my own Blair Waldorf! Erm, I wish I have Blair Waldorf as a friend.

But it’s not just Blair Waldorf that I adore but Leighton Meester (okay, her ego) as well. With the interviews and write-ups that I have read regarding Leighton, I must say that Leighton firmly lives with her principles. I think she’s one of the practical young actresses today.

It has been a week I guess that I have been on a BW/LM fan mode. I really, really can’t help it! Just this morning, I dreamt of her. We were in a van en route to some beach I hardly have an idea. We were seated beside each other and we were CLOSE - bestfriends close. We talked about something and hugged in the end. Our hug was still clear to me, hahahaha! If only I can frame that hug and post it some place I can see everyday. Serena’s also there with another friend.

I wish I can see you personally Blair/Leighton. If ever I’ll step foot in New York, you’re the first thing that I should see.

Globe to release iPhone in the Philippines

Eversince the news of an Apple iPhone release in the US, a lot of people have been drooling over the uber cool gadget. The iPhone which was released in the US June2007 has been a hit over the Americans. Here in the Philippines, a lot of Filipinos has been attracted by the nifty gadget. Eventhough the iPhone hasn’t been officially released here, you would see Filipinos with an iPhone on their hands. Thanks to their relatives in the US or even the stores in Greenhills. It has been said before that the iPhone will hit Asia by this year, I guess now is the time.

According to the Globe website:

Globe, SingTel, Bharti Airtel and Optus to bring iPhone to the region
Manila, 12 May 2008 – Globe, SingTel, Bharti Airtel and Optus today announced that they have signed an agreement with Apple to bring the iPhone to the Philippines, Singapore, India, and Australia later this year. More information will be released at a later date.

It is official! Globe will release iPhone here in the Philippines. At least now it’s official. I wonder how much would it cost.

High School Musical 3 Poster

I know you’ve missed Troy, Gabriela, Sharpay, Ryan and the rest of the gang. You might also have heard that they will be back. Yes, they are! But not on our tv sets anymore but on the bigscreen! Here’s just some news.

Walt Disney just released the poster for High School Musical 3: Senior Year which will be in theaters on October 24.

According to ComingSoon.Net :

High School Musical 3: Senior Year finds high school seniors Troy (Zac Efron) and Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens) facing the prospect of separation as they head off to different colleges. Joined by the rest of the Wildcats, they stage an elaborate spring musical reflecting their experiences, hopes and fears about the future. I’m just not sure though if High School Musical 3 will also be shown here in the Philippines on October 24th. Principal photography for the movie will be on May 3 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Alicia Keys Back in Manila

American pop, R&B, soul singer-songwriter, pianist, actress and Grammy awards winner Alicia Keys will be back in Manila on August 5 for a concert in Araneta Coliseum, produced by MTV Philippines and Music Management International.

Alicia Keys became the best selling new artist and best selling R&B artist in 2001. Her first album’s first single Fallin’ spent six weeks at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. Alicia Keys has been associated with the hits such as A Woman’s Worth, You Don’t Know My Name, Karma, Diary, Heartburn, Every Little Bit Hurts, Unbreakable and who would forget every lovers theme song If I Ain’t Got You and her song collaboration with Usher, My Boo. Alicia Keys has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide as of 2007.

As I Am, her fourth album, was released in 2007 with No One as it’s first single.

Alicia Keys’ concert on August 5, 2008 is not her first performance here in Manila. Alicia Keys first went here in 2004 and also had a concert in Araneta Colisuem. Wow, it has been four years! I admit I am a fan and yes, I was there in Araneta enjoying her first concert in Manila.

Alicia Keys is a great performer. If you really, really like her I suggest that you should see her concert in August. Alicia Keys is currently on tour, her As I Am US Tour. Expect tracks from her As I Am album being performed on her concert in Araneta. I hope she will also sing her other hits like If I Ain’t Got You. Tickets will be available in Ticketnet (911-5555). Vanessa Carlton Live in Manila

The voice behind the Grammy-nominated single A Thousand Miles, Vanessa Carlton, will be coming to Manila to stroke her piano keys to her Filipino fans.

Vanessa Lee Carlton, an American pianist and pop singer, songwriter will be coming to Manila in May to do a series of performances in Ayala Malls. On May 9, she will be at Trinoma Mall (7:00 PM), May 10th at Glorietta and on Sunday (7:00 PM), May 11 she will be on Alabang Town Center at 6:00PM.

To get tickets and meet her up-close, the rules are still the same with Sean Kingston’s. Present a Php500 worth of purchase (purchase must be done before the day of the performance) at the Concierge to have a ticket.

Vanessa Carlton released her third album, Heroes and Thieves, October last year with her latest hit Hands on Me. If you’re a big Vanessa Carlton fan and be going to see the concert I suggest to grab a copy of her latest album and start listening to the songs. She might be performing songs from Heroes and Thieves.

I’m not quite sure if this would be Vanessa Carlton’s first visit to Manila. Was it just me or did she come here before?
