Eversince the news of an Apple iPhone release in the US, a lot of people have been drooling over the uber cool gadget. The iPhone which was released in the US June2007 has been a hit over the Americans. Here in the Philippines, a lot of Filipinos has been attracted by the nifty gadget. Eventhough the iPhone hasn’t been officially released here, you would see Filipinos with an iPhone on their hands. Thanks to their relatives in the US or even the stores in Greenhills. It has been said before that the iPhone will hit Asia by this year, I guess now is the time.

The voice behind the Grammy-nominated single A Thousand Miles, Vanessa Carlton, will be coming to Manila to stroke her piano keys to her Filipino fans.
Vanessa Lee Carlton, an American pianist and pop singer, songwriter will be coming to Manila in May to do a series of performances in Ayala Malls. On May 9, she will be at Trinoma Mall (7:00 PM), May 10th at Glorietta and on Sunday (7:00 PM), May 11 she will be on Alabang Town Center at 6:00PM.

The 18 year old famous reggae singer-songwriter, Sean Kingston, is coming to Manila on April 17, 2008 to perform a one-night free concert in Glorietta.
Sean Kingston, or Kishean Anderson (his real name) is behind the chart topping hits ‘Beautiful Girls’, ‘Me Love‘ and his current single - ‘Take You There‘ under his self-titled album released on 2007. The Jamaican-American performer has collaborated with some famous singers like Fergie for ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry‘ Remix, Natasha Bedingfield for ‘Love Like This‘, ‘What Is It’ with Baby Bash and ‘Roll‘ with Flo Rida among others.

I am an Internet junkie. Eversince DSL has been introduced tothe Philippine shores I’ve been meaning to subscribe to one. A lot of broadband/DSL providers are already available - PLDT, Smart, Globe, Bayantel/SkyDSL. I told myself before that I’llget myself a DSL subscription when I got a laptop or a PC of my own so I could not share it to my siblings. It is hard to share a PC with your siblings, I tell you. So years had passed and we’re still not yet on DSL. Lately, I’ve been bugging my father to allow us to get DSL. The main problem here is we don’t have a decent PC here at home.Decent meaning bigger hard disk capacity, better memory, withLAN card - typically the kind of computer desktops on sale right now. We have two desktops here at home - one that is being shared by us siblings or should I say, the one often used by my brother and the other one solely for my father. Both are on Pentium III, no LAN cards and hard disks with only 20G capacity. Jurassic is the right term to describe these two computers. The one I’m using right now is soooo uber slow and I think this is infected by trojans, viruses and whatnots.So before we get a DSL subscription, I asked my father to buy a decent computer first. I’m hoping he’d be able to find one ASAP!! I have also been researching on the best DSL our area have. We are in Quezon City, within the vicinity of Cubao. I have read that BayanDSL (formerly SkyDSL) is running good in our area. I don’t have plans of getting PLDTDsl or SmartBro. I don’t want to be stressed with numerous complaints to their TSRs. If only I’m richer, I would get Globe Visibility — definitely exclusive for my needs 
but unfortunately, my budget is not applicable for that. Yes, I’ll pay for the DSL .. well 60% as what we’ve dealt here in the house.For now, since the decent computer is nowhere to be found, I have to rely on our good old dial-up until God knows when. I’m hoping it would be in the near future - before this year ends!

One of the bands that I forgot to mention on the upcoming OPM album releases is Callalily. The band behind the hits Stars, Take My Hand, Magbalik, Pasan and Sanctuary just released their much anticipated sophomore album Fisheye with its carrier single Susundan.
Still under Sony BMG Entertainment, the album contains 15 tracks composed and written by the band members - Lemuel Belaro (drums), Tatsi Jamnague (rhythm guitars), Alden Acosta (lead guitars), Aaron Ricafrente (bass) and Kean Cipriano (vocals). 6Cyclemind’s Rye Sarmiento and Ney Dimaculangan are the producers of the album.

With the great success of Rihanna’s third studio album, Good Girl Gone Bad, the R&B star and Grammy award winner singer is set to re-release her current album this May 27th. The repackaged album’s single premiered yesterday at KIIS-FM’s On Air with Ryan Seacrest. The single, entitled Take A Bow, was written by Ne-Yo who also wrote Unfaithful and Hate That I Love You - both Rihanna tracks. Stargate, who produced some songs from the original album is also the producer of Rihanna’s latest single. Take A Bow is a contemporary R&B Ballad that talks about a girl having enough of her lover’s mischievous acts. Music video of the single is set to be recorded and will be released on the next weeks.
